Born and raised parentless in the rural slums of the Philippines until the age of 14 where he discovered and established his enduring passion for art as a language of provocation and inquiry. Appended by fate, he emigrated to the U.S.A in 2000 to be with his estranged mother and to give gravitas to the subjects that have accompanied him all of his youth. Growing up in America in a multi-cultural household with a newly minted mother figure and an African-American stepfather served as a prelude to what will eventually unfold as a study in adaptation as he chartered his way through the treacherous cultural landscape of American. Along the way, self-discoveries and epiphanies gave way to his unwavering pursuit of art by way of fashion as a tool for comfort and communication. In 2004, He studied fine arts and fashion design at Centenary University in Jersey and earned his BFA in 2008 with an award winning senior thesis all the while moonlighting as a design-trainee at Tracy Reese in the same year. Not soon after, he cut his teeth in design working in New York City a technical designer for the largest outerwear manufacturer in the country, The Levy Group. That opportunity proved to be a test of willl and determination that culminated in him relinquishing his position to explore his unexamined queer self and to discover new places and cultures along the way. In 2011, he finds himself on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico learning new culture and giving color and shape to his sexuality and his identity as a brown person navigating an unknown terrain. This provided him a new canvas and medium to create new artistic impressions that gave way to new techniques and new textures to add to his ever-growing tools in his arsenal. A couple of months later, by way of romance and sheer wanderlust, he lands in San Francisco, California where, unbeknownst to him, he would reside for the unforeseeable future. Fast forward 14 years later and 10 years under his belt, he is now a chief Visual Merchandiser/Window Dresser for Ambiance- a women's clothing boutique, a 25 year old SF institution. He had also established his core artistic channels in the bay by way of his frequent collaborator and friend Tom Franco- whom he credits as his mentor and the one that launched his artistic endeavor. Together, along side Tom's Firehouse Art Collective, they have creative indelible pieces of art around the country. His incredible journey has made him even more relentless, restless steward of the arts
